If we pay close attention to Jesus’ words about the religious teachers and the Pharisees, found in Matthew 24, you come away with a sense that religious people prioritize practice of people. Loyalty to the letter of the law or rule over Love for the people the Law was intended to help.

We rarely admit the impact of our thoughts on our lives. Yet when we hear the witness of Scripture about its power, we are surprised. The Bible plainly says two things that are critical to our lives as disciples recorded in Proverbs 18:14 & 15,
The eternal cannot be bound by our thoughts & ideas of God.
Being An Authentic Follower of Jesus Christ
Historically followers of Christ were referred to as followers of the Way. “Tao” is a Chinese word which is translated, “path.,” “way,” or doctrine. It is a system of ideas which, when studied and followed guides a person’s thoughts and actions. These thoughts and actions manifest as habits that form the person’s character and, ultimately, their destiny.
