Biographic Sketch of Garry M. Spotts, M.Div.,
Elder Garry M. Spotts, M.Div., has been blessed with 33 years of progressive Ministry experience serving Churches and Christian organizations in ministry development, spiritual care and discipleship as a teacher, mentor and writer.
He has distinguished himself as an exceptional personal & professional development consultant supporting and mentoring ministry leaders, educators and business owners. He is a husband and a father. Stefni Carothers Spotts and Elder Spotts have enjoyed 19 years of marriage and are the proud parents of 17 year old twins, Gyasi and Shukura.
Born and reared in Louisville, Kentucky he is one of three siblings and the youngest of twins; the product of The Late Rev. George Spotts and Mrs. Viola Spotts.
Elder Spotts was called into ministry at 15 years of age, under the pastorate of Rev., Dr. H. Donald Cockerham, Pastor Emeritus of Zion Baptist Church, Louisville who also ordained him in 1989. He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Kentucky, Grehan School of Journalism and a 1987 Master of Divinity graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he focused upon Old Testament Interpretation and Theology.
Professionally Elder Spotts has served as the Academic Dean of Simmons Bible College (Now Simmons College of Kentucky), The Executive Director of The St. Stephen Family Life Center, The Minister of Education and Staff Development at Zion Baptist Church and most recently the Servant Teacher of Paideia Ministries, Inc., and a consultant and teaching servant to various churches, conventions, and Christian groups.
