The Power of Trusting God!

The Truth About Grace series (Part 3)

Each one of us encounters a multitude of challenges that obscure our vision and blur the truth that God can be trusted with our lives and most importantly our future. Throughout the witness of scripture there are examples after examples of saints who have staked their present lives, fortune, families, friendships and future on God’s Faithfulness and His Will to deliver on His Promises. The Truth is that trusting God is no small matter in the scheme of human life. Proverbs tells us clearly

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths.” 3:5&6

To truly yield control over the outcomes of your life to God’s Faithfulness is unquestionably one of the most difficult things for anyone to fathom, let alone do. Yet there are real and tangible blessings only available to us through a trust relationship with God. The benefits of Trusting God are made even more tangible in light of the Grace that God provides to us through Jesus Christ.

Remember that Grace is God acting without our input or influence to restore the trust relationship that He originally created us to enjoy. We destroyed our relationship through our willful disobedience and desire for self-idolatry. It is the Grace of God that ultimately restores the trust relationship for us. We are incapable of trusting God apart from His Grace because we continually struggle with our sin.
